Teaching is not an easy profession. Anyone and their mother could find countless things to complain and feel distain toward the education field.
Whether it is teaching in general, changing positions within the system, people will have something negative to say about educators.
It does not have to be your opinion. You do not have to conform to all of the negative chatter you hear within your building.
Yes, sometimes kids suck. Yes, sometimes coworkers suck. Yes sometimes that new position you want will suck.
But you don't have to accept the suck.
We control our perspective on a situation, even when it feels like we don't. When you search for something negative, you will find something negative.
But when you search for an accurate portrayal of a situation with a positive twist, then you will find a more accurate, positive situation.
Energy is controlled through your heart, and when you are able to focus on positive emotions, you will find that situations aren't so gloomy.
I know that it is easy to fall into the negativity when you are surrounded by negativity. It wears on you.
But what if, instead of allowing others' negativity to effect you, you instead brought in your positive, more accurate perspective and in turn you stay elevated? You might not be able to pull those around you to be more positive, and that is okay. But you at least will maintain your higher, elevated state.
