Setting the intention for each situation

It’s easy to enter a meeting or conversation still half in the last interaction you had. Then about half way through or maybe all the way through, you settle in and realize what you want to get out of it.
Sometimes you realize AFTER leaving the meeting you didn’t even address what you were hoping to.
Setting the intention before the meeting or interaction grounds you in the present moment.
It makes you aware of what the purpose you have for this meeting/interaction.
And it sets you up to achieve whats best for you and the group you are working with.
Ask yourself “what is my intention in being a part of this interaction?”
”what do I want to feel walking away from this meeting?”
”what do I want the other people involved to feel walking out?”
”why am I attending this meeting?”
”what do I want to get across?”
Seems simple.
But when was the last time you thought about the other people in your meeting before going into it?
I know I get caught up in logistics and forget the intention of meeting until I’m already in it.
This will lead to more productive and potentially shorter meetings; saving you time and energy as you’ll get straight to what you intended to talk about
