How many of you catch yourself saying “TGIF” or “I can’t wait until the weekend”, “3 more days until the weekend”…
What a miserable way to live. I know that sounds harsh, but it’s the truth.
Everyday I hear coworkers‘ conversations about just trying to survive the week, get through it, as if they are miserable at work.
Well, if your teacher is miserable, your student can FEEL that and in turn, that students not going to want to be in the classroom either. Kk
But what if the teacher was able to recreate their passion everyday? then, they are going to teach in a way that resonates with them, bringing more energy and desire to teach; creating a space where students are energized. and if students are energized they can better buy into the lessons they learn.
If the teachers passion improves, their determination to show up to work to create improves. They are better suited to work with the students whose behaviors are challenging… yes even ”that” student in your classroom. You can create space for them. I don’t know the solution, but they‘re a kid. There is something that can create peace for them.
If we can remind ourselves daily of our passion for teaching, the WHY we chose this career, we can better buy into the lessons we teach and interact with students on a more genuine level.
